Do you know your worth?
Do you know who you are?
Do you know who you belong to?
We have about 2 months remaining of 2020 and the clock will strike midnight and BAM it will be a new year; 2021 is approaching.
I cannot even begin to imagine what 2020 has been like for you, if it has been anything like what I have experienced then you have had some joy, sadness, success, challenges, open doors, and closed doors…
This is a great time to reflect and prepare, don’t wait until January 1, 2021, to decide what the year will be like.
I wonder if you know your worth?
I wonder if you know who you are after several months of a pandemic?
I wonder if you know that despite what 2020 has brought, you still belong to THE KING.?
I want to encourage you to take time to reflect, refresh, and reset if needed. God is a promise keeper and has not changed His mind about us.
Psalm 139 is one of many scriptures that I turn to when I feel like I have forgotten who I am and who I belong to.
Psalm 139:13 says, “For it was you who created my inward parts;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.”
What does it mean for God to know our inward parts? God knows how every joint and marrow comes together.
Stop and think about God knitting you together in your mother’s womb. He knows your imperfections, your tendencies, ...there is nothing hidden from Him.
Is it possible that He knew 2020 would happen and knew you would be challenged in your finances, your health, your vocation, and stretched in your relationships?
2020 is a sentence by itself!
God searches us and knows our anxious thoughts. God reminds us that we are worth it.
We are worth it so he teaches us how to be good stewards of our resources. (Matthew 6:24)
We are worth it because He teaches us how to care for our bodies. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)
We are worth it when he tells us how to love our neighbor. (Mark 12:31)
He Knew. He is the same God that searches you. He is the same God that knows when you sit down and when you stand up. So suffice to say, He knew 2020 was coming and said to you and I “You are fearfully and wonderfully made”.
Spend these last few weeks of 2020 and reflect on what went well, what was out of your control, and how you can use every experience to move into 2021 knowing that you are worth it.
Be encouraged to take inventory of the areas in your life that challenged you in 2020; those are the very areas that you may need to invest in.
You are worth the investment!
If you want to return to school and finish your degree, YOU ARE WORTH IT!
If you want to write a book, start writing; YOU ARE WORTH IT!
If you want to start a business or increase your streams of income, stop thinking, and start executing; YOU ARE WORTH IT!
If you have those last 10 pounds to lose, drink more water, exercise, and manage portions; YOU ARE WORTH IT!
You are worth living a life that FLOURISHES!!!
