When God Interrupts Your Life

Scripture: “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” — Psalm 32:8
Devotional Thought: Life doesn’t always follow our carefully laid plans. Sometimes, right in the middle of what feels predictable and safe, God interrupts. His interruptions can feel disruptive, uncomfortable, and even frightening. Yet, what looks like a setback is often His setup for deeper growth.
Think of Moses, whose ordinary day of shepherding was interrupted by a burning bush. Or Mary, whose life plans were turned upside down by an angel’s announcement. These were not accidents—they were divine redirections. God’s interruptions are really His invitations.
When fear rises, He reminds us: “Do not be afraid, for I am with you.” When frustration mounts, He whispers: “My grace is sufficient for you.” When confusion clouds the way, He promises: “I will teach you.”
Transition is never easy, but God uses it to grow us, stretch us, and align us more closely with His desires. The very disruption that unsettles you may be the door God is using to move you forward in faith.
Prayer: Lord, help me to see Your hand in the interruptions of my life. Teach me to trust that even when my plans are disrupted, Your plan is greater. Replace my fear with faith, my frustration with peace, and guide me through the transition with confidence in You. Amen.
Affirmation: I welcome God’s interruptions as opportunities for growth. I choose faith over fear, peace over frustration, and trust that God is leading me forward.
