Unashamed and Unstoppable: Showing Up the Way God Created You

There’s something powerful about a woman who has decided she will no longer apologize for who God made her to be. She’s not driven by ego or perfection—but by purpose. An unashamed woman is an unstoppable woman, because she’s no longer hiding behind fear, regret, or comparison. She has finally realized that the very thing she once tried to silence is the very thing God wants to use for His glory.
Many women—especially those in their 40s, 50s, and beyond—spend years questioning their calling. We wonder if it’s too late, if we missed our moment, or if our voice really matters anymore. But God never consults your past to determine your future. When you stop being ashamed of your story, your scars, and your unique calling, you position yourself to be used by God in greater ways than you can imagine.
1. Shame Silences, but Faith Speaks
Shame whispers, “Who do you think you are?” It reminds you of every mistake, failure, or season where you fell short. But faith answers back, “I am who God says I am.” When you silence shame with truth, you unlock a boldness that can only come from the Holy Spirit.
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” —
2 Timothy 1:7
You don’t need to fit into anyone’s mold or mirror someone else’s ministry. Your voice, your story, your age, your experiences—they all matter. God chose you for this season because someone needs what only you carry.
2. Release Timidness and Regret
Timidness often hides behind humility. We say we’re being “humble” when we really mean we’re afraid. But true humility is agreeing with God about who He says you are. If He called you to speak, lead, write, or mentor—then it’s time to move. Regret will only keep you replaying the past instead of stepping into the new thing God is doing.
“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” —
Isaiah 43:19
Let go of what you could have done and embrace what you can do now. Your obedience in this moment is the seed of your next breakthrough.
3. Show Up Ready—Exactly As You Are
God doesn’t need a polished version of you; He wants the real you. The woman who has lived, learned, loved, lost, and still believes. The woman who is willing to show up even when she’s unsure, trusting that God will fill in the gaps.
When you show up unashamed, you give other women permission to do the same. Your authenticity becomes an invitation for others to rise. You become a living testimony of God’s redeeming power—proof that He uses ordinary women to do extraordinary things.

A Prayer for Today
Lord, I release every ounce of shame, fear, and regret. I choose to walk boldly in the calling You’ve placed on my life. Use me just as I am—for Your glory and for the good of those You’ve called me to reach. Amen.
Affirmation
I am unashamed. I am unstoppable. I am fully equipped and ready to show up exactly as God created me.
I'm praying for you,
Lashay
